5 Tips On How To Prepare Your Hair And Makeup For Your Senior Photoshoot
At BETH FORNUTO PHOTOGRAPHY, we offer Simplicity sessions which are short and sweet. This does not mean that they can’t be AWESOME as well. For these sessions, hair and makeup can be purchased as an add-on, but if you choose to do your own, here are a few tips to help you along the way.
1. Plan ahead: Schedule a consultation with your photographer beforehand to discuss the theme and style of your photoshoot. Based on that, you can plan your hair and makeup accordingly. Look for inspiration pictures, and bring them to your hair and makeup artist to ensure they understand your vision.
2. Keep it natural: Your senior photos are all about you and your personality, so you want to keep your hair and makeup natural and reflective of your personal style. Keep in mind that you'll want to look back on these photos in the future, so avoid going overboard with trendy makeup looks that may not stand the test of time.
3. Accentuate your best features: Consider highlighting your best features with your hair and makeup. For example, if you have beautiful eyes, go for a makeup look that emphasizes them, or if you have long hair, style it in a way that showcases its length.
4. Avoid experimenting with new products: The week before your photoshoot is not the time to try out a new skincare routine or hair products. Stick to the products and techniques that you know work well for you, so you don't risk any allergic reactions or surprises.
5. Practice your look beforehand: Do a trial run of your hair and makeup before the photoshoot so you can see how it looks and make any adjustments if needed. This will also help you to feel confident and comfortable on the day of the shoot, knowing that you've already tried out your look beforehand.
Have faith in yourself . . . I have faith in you! Getting ready for your senior session takes just a little bit of patience and a practice, practice, practice. You’ve got this!
