The Best Place on the University of Georgia Campus for Graduation Photographs

Just yesterday, I had the privilege of photographing one of my high school seniors who has ALREADY completed her Bachelors Degree at UGA. We met at her apartment and walked through campus with her fancy red shoes checking off every photo spot imaginable. Here are some of the great spots for taking pictures.

  • The Arch: The iconic Arch is a popular spot for graduation photos. It serves as a symbol of the university and a gateway to the campus. You will probably have to stand in line, but it will be well worth it!

  • Sanford Stadium: The home of the Georgia Bulldogs is a great place to take graduation photos, especially if you're a sports fan. Don’t lean on the railing or alarms will sound and guards will come running.

  • North Campus: The historic buildings and beautiful lawns of North Campus provide a classic and timeless backdrop for graduation photos. With the cherry trees and Redbuds in bloom in spring, the possibilities are endless.

  • Herty Field: This historic field is the site of the first intercollegiate football game in the South and is a popular spot for graduation photos.

  • The Founders Memorial Garden: This peaceful garden is a beautiful spot for graduation photos, with its flowers, fountains, and sculptures.

  • The Tate Student Center: The student center offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces that are perfect for graduation photos, including the rooftop garden and the fountain plaza.

  • The UGA Chapel: The iconic chapel is a popular spot for graduation photos, with its stately columns and beautiful architecture.

  • The Lamar Dodd School of Art: The art school offers a variety of interesting and artistic spaces that are perfect for graduation photos, including the sculpture garden and the galleries.

  • The Miller Learning Center: The learning center offers a modern and sleek backdrop for graduation photos, with its glass walls and modern architecture.

Remember, these are just a few of the many great places for graduation pictures at the University of Georgia. Explore the campus and find a location that speaks to you and your personality!
