Wedding Dress and Mini Me Sessions

Little Girls

What better way to celebrate MOM this Mother’s Day then a once-in-a-lifetime portrait session. For little girls, bring your wedding gown and let them be a princess for the shoot. They will LOVE it and you will LOVE seeing the joy in their smiles.

Here is how the idea was born. This past Thanksgiving, I unwrapped my wedding gown that had been in storage for 30 years. My two oldest daughters were home so it was a perfect excuse to see what I had actually packed away in the box all those years ago. My dress was gorgeous in 1993. I spent way too much money on it and the silk shantung fabric and alencon lace was perfectly preserved. I had always hoped that one of my daughter's would be able to use it. Did I mention it was 1993? The dress fit my younger daughter as if it were made for her but she is not planning a wedding anytime soon. My older daughter is getting married in July, but the dress did nothing for her. It was too intricate and not really her style. I think she even used the word gaudy. The nerve!

All this to say . . . your daughter most likely will not like your wedding gown for herself when she is 27. She will have her own style and idea of what her special day will look like. She WILL feel like a princess in your dress when she is 4 or 8 or even 12. What a perfect memory because to tell you the truth, them not liking it 20 years later does sting a bit.

Little Boys

Don’t worry boy moms, we’ve got you covered. I have 2 of those as well and there is nothing more special than a mom and me photograph with your special guy. Get dressed up and the portraits will be a showpiece in your home. They will complain about it, but will end up cherishing the memory. A boy will always love his mama.
