me

A little bit about me . . . I was born and raised in upstate NY and lived through some awesome weather there.   I am the youngest of 6 children and if you know anything about being the youngest of so many kids in the 60s - I have NO pictures of me growing up.  It was only when I got my first brownie camera that my life on film began.

I met my husband in the College Jazz Band when we were both singing and playing while getting our degrees in architecture.   He and I moved to Boston where we started a family and welcomed four kids and miscellaneous pets along the way.  7 years ago, we moved to Atlanta.  It seems like forever ago!

I have been photographing people for over 35 years, starting in the tiny little photo studio in the basement of the School of Architecture.   I suppose it was meant for photographing architectural models, but I would drag my nieces and nephews in - even pets! - and that was my humble beginning into studio photography.  I have since photographed them 25 years later at their weddings and have even had the privilege of  photographing their children!

I have 4 beautiful children who have suffered through my photographic obsession but who are great subjects to photograph.  I was taking pictures of my oldest daughter in a hat box long before Anne Geddes became famous and dragging all four out into field of fern at the crack of dawn just to get the perfect shot.   If I have the pleasure of photographing you, one of them will most likely come along.  They all add a little to the shoot - my singers lull the babies, my handsome boys get the teenagers to smile and my daughters make sure hair and makeup is perfect.

In my spare time, I like to sleep.  No - really.  I am a quintessential stage mom.   My kids always have the best head shots and because I am also a graphic designer, they also have the best resume.  I enjoy scoping out new places to shoot and I LOVE people who give me artistic license to do what it takes to get the perfect picture.

Thanks for visiting my site!  I look forward to working with you!
